The Copper Country Quilt Block Trail is Michigan’s first Upper Peninsula Quilt Block Trail. We are located on the beautiful and scenic Keweenaw Peninsula in Houghton and Keweenaw counties.
The Copper Country Quilt Block Trail is in the early stages with ten blocks displayed in residential, rural and educational settings.
This Website will be updated as we grow and you can also follow us on Facebook.
Trail Guides can be picked-up in Houghton at the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce at 902 College Avenue and in Calumet at the Keweenaw Convention and Visitors Bureau at 56638 Calumet Avenue.
Come on up for a ride through the Keweenaw Peninsula. Enjoy the pristine natural beauty along the Copper Country Quilt Block Trail.
Quilt Block Locations:
Natives of Iowa where there are many barn quilts, Tommy and Mike Gilpin thought it would be fun to have a barn quilt on their garage in town. The pattern “Classic Country 8 Point” is done in 3 colors which contrast with the garage & housecolor. The barn quilt is 4′ x 4′. It was constructed & installed by Industrial Graphics, Inc. of Houghton. |
