Approximately 13 miles west of Houghton. Take the Houghton Canal Road west off M-26 to the Coles Creek Road to the Freda Road, then left to Redridge. Settled in 1905, it was the site of the Atlantic & Baltic stamp mills. Population here in 1905 was 450 and located on the Copper Range Railroad. By 1910 the population was 500 and there were the stamp mills, a school, doctor, hotel, blacksmith and carpentar.
The Copper Range Railroad served the village and hauled ore and copper to and from the stamp mills for over 50 years. In 1971, the rails were removed along with the only industry.
