Order from Pasty Central, and you’ll get a handmade pasty from the famous Hut Inn located in Calumet, MI. Those who’ve sought pasties in Houghton will know Roy’s – located along the Portage waterfront, this establishment turns out pasties of every variety. Give the gift of a hearty Keweenaw staple!

Right on Main Street Calumet, Copper World has a wide array of goods made in, for, and about the Keweenaw. Home decor, apparel, jewelry and more – this store’s wide range of regionally specific items (“ I ️ Misery Bay” magnet, anyone?!) are a surefire conversation starter!

In the early 1900s, “Vertins” was a household name in the Upper Peninsula. Today, the namesake gallery remains a source of Keweenaw art and vintage goods just as diverse and important as it was back in the day. Lovers of vintage Keweenaw will be floored by the clothing, furniture, and goods housed here. Impress a true collector or treat yourself to Copper Country nostalgia!

Catch and Release Coffee is a small batch coffee roasting company located just outside of Houghton, MI. They focus on green, sustainably sourced coffee and “cold brew alchemy”. Soon to be available for purchase online, you can currently snag one of these sleek black bags or a bottle of cold brew concentrate at the Calumet Cold Season market.

This beloved roasterie on Main Street Calumet has more than a few amazing things to gift to the coffee fiend in your life. Shop in-person to find a curated selection of coffee, brewing supplies, treats, and apparel… or sign your Secret Santa up for a subscription box to get those fresh-roasted beans straight from the roaster to your door! Online shoppers can also snag cool items like camp mugs and KCW beanies.

Miss the smell of the Keweenaw woods? Fondly remember the warm cedar aroma of a log sauna by Lake Superior? Finnmaker, a candle company based out of Atlantic Mine, MI, creates hand-poured soy candles that encapsulate so many different aspects of the Copper Country! Some of our favorites include “Copper Island Gateway”, woody and floral scent wrapped in a hip graphic of the Lift Bridge!

Dead Miners is helmed by Ben Mitchell, the one-man army behind these extremely durable and high-quality leather goods. Staple items include leather bifold wallets, totes/purses, belts, and smartwatch straps. This extremely versatile artisan also is known for custom genius like rifle slings, camera straps, axe holsters, and merch featuring the Quincy Mine and collaborations with other local artists.

No wall is actually complete until a Christopher Schmidt print hangs on it! Majorly inspired by the Keweenaw, mountain bike racing, cycling, and nature, these graphic designs celebrate the spirit of the area. Here you can find a t-shirt with the infamous “Yooper Loop” graphic, stickers for those who know (Kowsit Lats, for one!), and prints of iconic cycling races, businesses (like Suomi), and Copper Country flora and fauna! Artist Josh Jaehnig can be found most days at his tattoo shop, Bramble and Stag, in downtown Houghton, MI. Bramble and Stag is known for American Traditional tattooing with a definite Michigan inspiration. Many of Josh’s pieces celebrate the landscapes and nature found here in the Copper Country. While a true fan of the Keweenaw could definitely get a permanent ode to their love of this area inked on their skin, you can also gift a Bramble and Stag original print! New and seasonal prints are announced on Instagram, and then become available on the online store. In the meantime, snag one-of-a-kind t-shirts and mugs to rep the Keweenaw!

At this art gallery in downtown Hancock, you can find a gift to hang on the wall that will become an heirloom in its own right. The Artist’s Market Sales Gallery represents approximately 200 local and regional artists. Worthy of an afternoon appreciating the works alone, a piece from here will make for a meaningful, show-stopping gift.
