One Family at Central: More about Etta Hancock's story
This presentation follows up on the story in the May Issue of the Superior Signal. Born in Central in 1870 and writing her story in 1942, Etta Hancock told of growing up in the Keweenaw. Etta left a vivid account of her family in Ontonagon and Central, their perilous journey on Lake Superior, and her later adventures in the South. Etta's great-grandaughter Ginny Ellis, will bring Etta's photo album from the late 19th century, tell more of Etta Hancock Cubberly's story, answer questions, and invite us to share our own Keweenaw connections, as Etta did.
