The Houghton Keweenaw County Genealogical Society (HKCGS) is researching local cemeteries with an emphasis on abandoned and long forgotten ones,.  The HKCGS is organized to support and improve the ancestral research pursuits of it’s members, to assist non-members with family research in the local area, and encourage a broader understanding and appreciation of genealogical research.
