The Carnegie Museum of the Keweenaw is open year-round and features changing exhibits and programs about the region’s cultural and natural history, including interactive displays to engage all learners. Located in downtown Houghton’s historic district, the museum is housed in the 1910 Classic Revival building that served as Houghton’s public library until 2006. Admission is free, though memberships and donations are gratefully accepted.

Open year-round Tuesday & Thursday from 12 pm until 5 pm, Saturday from 12 pm until 4 pm; between July 4 and Labor Day, open Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Fees: Free for exhibits and most public programs; trolley tours $25 per person.
