Activities: Fishing
The Keweenaw has long been known for its great fishing. Huge trophies live in many of the inland lakes and lake trout literally surround the region which juts out into Lake Superior. Brook, rainbow & brown trout can be caught in area streams, many of which have abundant smelt runs each spring. One great advantage of Keweenaw fishing is that with the number of lakes and streams, a short drive is all that is necessary to improve your luck when things seem slow.
