The Strawberry Festival in Chassell opens at 9 am on Friday, July 9 with the serving of strawberry shortcake and other goodies that goes on until 9 pm. The Arts & Crafts show runs from 10 am to 8 pm Friday and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday. On Friday there will be horse drawn wagon rides from 2 to 5 pm, a fish boil at 4 pm, live music & entertainment from 4:30 to 7 pm, judging of the strawberries at 5 pm, a childrens parade at 6 pm, the queen crowning at 9 pm and a dance at the firehall at 9 pm.  Saturday's activities begin at 7 am with a french toast breakfast at the firehall. The food booth opens at 9 am and the parade begins at 11 am. The day continues with a chicken BBQ after the parade, the Chassell Heritage Center Open House from noon to 4 pm, the Mustic Meadow Garden activities at 1 pm, the Polka Drifters Concert at 1 pm, the Friends of Fashion "Ladies of the Lakes" Vintage Fashion Show at 2 pm, childrens games at 2 pm, the quilt raffle at the Pavilion at 4 pm and concludes with the dance at the Chassell VFW Post from 7 pm to 11 pm.
