The Calumet Theatre presents the Red Metal Radio Show (a local history radio-theatre show loosely based on Prairie Home Companion) at 7 pm on Thursday, August 13 at the theatre at 340 Sixth Street in Calumet.This is a live radio theater broadcast with Eagle Radio, held in conjunction with Main Street Calumet's Heritage Celebration.Red Metal Radio Show live, radio theatre will transport audiences listening to Eagle Radio and those in the Theatre to the Calumet/Red Jacket of 100 years ago. Program host Oren Tikkanen introduces people on the streets of Red Jacket in 1909, allowing them to tell stories that will make us laugh, cry, gasp, and groan! Regional and timely music will punctuate the verbal vignettes.Main Street Clumet is sponsoring the Red Metal Radio Show as part of the Calumet Heritage celebration, in conjunction with the Keweenaw National Historical Park.
