The 17th Annual Copper Harbor Fat Tire Festival's 14 & 28 mile cross country mountain bike races will be held on Sunday, September 5 on the Copper Harbor Trails. The Jr. Fat Tire kids race begins at 12:30 pm followed by the mass race start at 2 pm. Live blues music by the Erik Koskinen Band begins at 7 pm on the outdoor stage in the Grant Township Park with awards, a cookout and social time.New this year is the Super "D" at 1 pm on Saturday, September 4 that includes two downhill runs on separate trails with the best combined time winning the event.A Fat Tire Reception takes place at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge on Saturday, September 4 from 9 pm to midnight.For more information, visit the website or contact Sam at (906) 289-4303 or sam@keweenawadventure.com.
