Join us for this annual classic-style-only cross country ski event at the intimate and well-groomed Chassell Ski Trails just off US-41 in Chassell on Sunday, January 17. A USSA Junior Olympics qualifier race will be held in the morning with the traditional citizens races in the afternoon. The 2 km kids race begins at 12:50 pm, the 5 km race at 1 pm and the 10k race at 1:15 pm.A new twist this year is a partner race at Michigan Tech on Saturday, January 16. A trophy, the Paradise Cup, will be given to the best overall time in the 2 days of racing. Racers have the choice of participating in either or both races.The guess your time event will also be held and there will be an array of door prizes. More information, mail-in registration forms and electronic registration are available on the website.The race is one of the oldest ski races in the U.S. and is sponsored by the Keweenaw Memorial Rehab & Fitness Center and the Chassell Recreation Committee.
