Celebrate the mid-point of winter with a series of Finnish related activities in Hancock.Events include classes in nisu making on January 11, leipajuusto (squeaky cheese) making on January 18, Karjalan piirakka cooking and wood carving on January 25, a 5-string kantele class on January 27, Himmeli-making and a bones workshop on January 30. A Family Fun Night on January 22; a Finnish Hym Sing on January 24; the Club Finndigo dinner and a movie at the Calumet Theatre and the Karhun Tanssi in South Range on January 29; a parade through downtown Hancock, Tori Markets, Family Fun Day, a polar bear dive on the Hancock waterfront, an authentic Finnish buffet and a tanssit (dance) on January 30.
