The official mineral museum of the state of Michigan. The museum is world renowned for its collection of Lake Superior copper district minerals and also has many superb specimens from North America and around the world. Admission free - voluntary donations requested. A Heritage Site of the Keweenaw National Historical Park.Large gift shop on site.Open all year Monday through Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm with Saturday and Sunday hours from noon to 4:30 pm July through September.
